Many of us love the wrapped cord bracelet styles (see tutorials below) like the Shambala ones. But did you ever think to vary the wrapping patterns for an extra long one? No? Neither did I.
The bracelet goes around the wrist a number of times. What designer Britanny Ketcham does with her tutorials is show how the patterns can be varied by switching threads and beads, weaves and various knots all along the length! Brilliant. Check out her Setting the Mood bracelet tutorial over at the Bead Shop. It also includes the specific videos for how to do the herringbone wraps.
Also check out her In the Garden bracelet video tutorial! Varying the C-Lon thread color certainly makes it look like you are wearing several bracelets!
Nicole Anderson also from the Bead Shop has a 5 stitch macrame bracelet video tutorial that inspires! The stitches used are the spiral, beaded double-flat knot, square knot, herringbone ladder and simple ladder.
