Illusion necklaces have always been popular. They are easy to make using fishing line and crimp beads to secure beads in place. I particularly love them when they are multistrand. But did you ever consider making illusion earrings?
Hanna's long statement earrings tutorial over on Pearls and Scissors is so easy to do and looks fabulous worn. The fishing line can be 8-14 lb - just pick a thickness you like. We aren't concerned about what sort of fish we are catching! You will need 2 sizes of crimp beads to stop the beads from falling out. The larger size is needed to take 6 strands of fishing line.
Hanna used rhinestones made for the fashion industry. The good news is Swarovski makes them too!
