Sea horses are such amazing creatures. They are marine fishes but don't look or move like a typical one. It's species is Hippocampus which comes from the Greek word hippos meaning "horse" and kampos meaning "sea monster". The sea monster is also a misnomer because they are not monstrous but rather elegant and graceful inhabitants of the sea.
They make a wonderful inspiration for a wire wrapped pendant. Check out Linda's wonderful wire wrapped sea horse tutorial (shown above) over on the Wire Workers Guild's blog. She includes some lovely variations including the addition of beads.
Another version you can try is the one by rileysays over on Instructables.

Both versions are nice, but the all wire one really appeals to me - the instructions are very clear and detailed and the project seems very doable - even for a klutz like me.
