Boston based bead artist, Diana Grygo, calls herself The Lone Beader. Not only does she bead alone, she also "prefers solitude while creating beadwork." This probably gives her tremendous focus for her delightful bead embroidered creations.
She makes adorable beaded animal jewelry, concentrating on many breeds of dogs. She does a wonderful job of capturing their distinctive features. Other animals include cats and birds. Here are some of my favorites from her Etsy store. They are mostly pendant/brooch and earring designs.
Diana also creates magnificent beaded art paintings. The Beaded 1943 Chevy Fire Truck complete with a dalmatian is a stunner! She often documents the progress of some of her larger pieces on her blog, which was how I stumbled upon her work some years ago. The posts certainly makes one appreciate her talent, vision and creativity all the more!
