Tammy Tutterow's 3D domed embossed pendant tutorial is not merely a stunner.  It is inspirational in many ways. So if you need instructions on how to do dapping, coloring, embossing and riveting, this is one you should look at.

The metal  disc was first embossed.  She used a Vintaj embossing folder designed for a Sizzix die cutter . But you could also use other embossing plates and other rollers like a tube wringer from the hardware store.
She also domed it using a dapping block.  The concave shape to allow layering of a number of components. Tammy is fantastic with alcohol inks as she colored the metal components so beautifully!

She also showed it is indeed possible to nail rivet with Lucite flowers if you are careful.  I would not have dared before I saw Tammy's tutorial.

If you prefer to avoid riveting, use a head pin and position it like she did her nail rivet. Trim the wire after stacking everything to a length that will allow you to do a double loop with your pliers. These loops have to be tightly made and close to the work to keep everything in place. Small bail forming pliers are the best for this job.
