Creating wire animals is a lot of fun. Not only that, there are many ways to go about doing so. Adding beads certainly adds color. Here are some fun wire wrapped owl jewelry tutorials to try! The first one is delightlful and is by Poe Pearls. It is not really much of a tutorial as there is only 1 photo which shows the major parts to do. The frame is clearly constructed first, then the bead and wire eyes.

Even though I do very little wire work, these owls are all so adorable I'm most tempted to sacrifice a few fingernails and give the tutorials a try.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteI have owls all over the barn. For some reason I think they are the cutest things and I hadn't even heard of Harry Potter when I first started collecting them...
Fantastic tutorials! Looks like I'll have to add more beads to my vacation craft bag, which now is packed with wire and sea glass :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to mention how fabulous is the Coiling Gizmo made clasp in the last example - I can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteMy owl tutorial was written for the Beads and Beyond Blog (it was not a case that it never made the cut) but I am glad you like my design. Rachel Norris xx
