Some of you may remember Jocelyn's amazing wire wrapped snowflake tutorial I wrote about before? She also did the wire bat earrings tutorial. She also has a sweet wire wrapped Christmas Tree earrings video tutorial. The loops were inspired by Celtic designs.
The use of double pliers for twisting thicker wire like this is inspired! She does make it all look easy. But in reality she is experienced with wire and can judge by eye.
Find this too difficult to do consistently? Try drawing out the design on paper and use it as a template as you are forming the loops.

She certainly makes this look very easy.
ReplyDeleteGetting the loops the correct size seems so easy for her and yet I know I struggle consistently with that. However - that being said - not all Christmas Trees are alike! :0)
There is something to be said for handmade look! But wire work is really about practicing lots with wire!
DeleteThank you so much for the link to Jocelyn's work. I have struggled with many of the techniques she demonstrates.
ReplyDeletePractice lots, Cherryl!
