Are we done yet with Christmas trees? Nope. It is probably my most favorite of this season's motifs. I am probably not alone in this! I particular like Italian beader Sara Spoltore's latest 3D beaded Christmas tree tutorial which uses 11/0 beads. The resulting designs are small enough to be worn as earrings. Or pendants if you prefer.
As the designer says, you can use non-Delicas. But the evenness of the Delicas sure makes for a crisp design. The two tone look is particularly effective.
This next simple design is by Bead Diagrams. You can use either superduos or twin beads. There are slight differences in both types but they do not matter in this case.
You just need to make 3 tiers of two hole beads with regular seed beads and then it is a matter of stringing them on a head pin with spacer beads in between.
Color combinations is entirely up to you!!

I like the second design quite a bit.

I love these!!! The beauty of sweet and quick Delica patterns for me is that it makes it really easy to include my grand daughters in beading - they already have Perler Beads aka melty beads in the same shape. Easier for them to hold. They are going to love this!!!
ReplyDeletePerler beads are a brilliant suggestion for the younger set! Thanks for sharing the idea!
