Going all out at creating awesome Christmas earrings this season? You should as these make great gifts which you can create very quickly! I have featured Myléne Hillam of Mill Lane Studio's tutorials in the past. This designer and instructor is full of inspirational and innovative designs.
She has shared some awesome Christmas earrings designs before including this clever Christmas tree pair which I wrote about recently. That particular design graces the cover of Volume 4. Myléne has put out all her designs to date including many never before seen designs in 5 volumes! Each volume is just $6 each.
You can see the preview of all 60 designs by clicking through on her book page. It was incredibly hard for me to pick my favorites. This designer has so many clever ideas for layering components, working with leather and filigrees. You can learn a lot about how to design earrings from her.
Myléne lists all the components she uses. She is based in Australia so if some of the sources are not accessible, try researching other suppliers.
She had a number of Christmas tree earrings designs. This one was one of my favorites from Volume 3 as it shows such a clever idea with filigree, making this a very elegant pair indeed.
I also adored these poinsettia earrings (Volume 3). Layering and simple wire techniques on different components ends up as original designs!
These angel earrings from Volume 1 also shows how effective layering and the use of uncommon materials like mesh is! I doubt Myléne is through with designing Christmas earrings. I will not be surprised if she comes out with another volume next season!
