Recycled CD and Liquid Polymer Clay Pendant Tutorial

I often use shrink plastic (unshrunk) as the base of my resin designs (see the Translucent Screen Printed Resin Jewelry Tutorial). However, I have considered using recycled plastic containers instead. Mo Clay, an Italian polymer clay instructor has a clever way of removing the colored film off an old CD and using a cut out as the basis of her liquid polymer clay pendant tutorial.

She uses alcohol inks for coloring the near transparent liquid polymer clay.  You can have fun with this one for sure!

  1. What a great idea! I wonder what would happen if you left that iridescent coating on the cd and worked with that? Hmmm... I can see playing with this is what is needed.

    Another good one Pearl!
