I'm not really good at making complex canes. You, too? Then check out this easy bandana inspired polymer clay cane bracelet tutorial by Cassy Muronaka. Pretty obvious why she called it a bandana bracelet - the patterns and hues reminds one of the colorful bandanas you can buy.
There are several neat tips with this tutorial. The canes are firstly made with translucent and white clay. The stack of layers is bezeled at the ends before rolling to create a spiral pattern.
Another tip is to cool the beads in ice water after baking to bring out the translucency of the clay.
Who knew flattening round beads with one side thinner could be so much fun? The assembled stretchy bracelet looks bright and lovely!
