Vintage or even modern tin containers are wonderful sources of metal! If you are handy with a jewelry saw, then this recycled tin tutorial by Christine Terrell is for you! At the very least, you will get lots of practice with the saw. (Update : link no longer works)
The design is simple and comprises of round cuts of different diameters. The circles are riveted together.

I am always searching for different tins. The problem with finding them is the ruthlessness then needed to cut them apart. So far my batting average on that is zero but I do have a lovely selection of tins.
