How to Make Recycled Bracelets from a Handbag

By on Sunday, March 27, 2011 8 Comments

Are you like me, a handbag hoarder?  I love bags and cannot bear to throw them away.  One super way to recycle the material from handbags is to turn them into jewelry.  The recycled bracelet tutorial from Kalleen of the At Second Street blog  is utterly brilliant! Who knew one old handbag could yield so many awesome bracelets?

She also upcycled an old necklace clasp for one of the bracelets. Check out her post and see how she managed it all!

  3. How cool is that? I probably wouldn't wear something like that, but you gave me a brilliant idea. I wonder if the leather is thin enough to back a cab pendant? Some of that leather is pretty soft. Ok, going to find me a purse....

  5. LOL! I see I am not the only handbag hoarder! Mandy - that is a very good idea to use the softer leather bits for the backs of beaded cabs! Thanks for mentioning it!
