Recycled Jewelry Inspirations

Eco jewelry not only saves money but also reuses material that might otherwise be tossed away. One artisan who does amazing eco jewelry is Shixie on Etsy.  She creates whimsical mini-dress jewelry!

This Michigan based artisan combines a good eye for design with an innovative creativeness. That's why her jewelry has been blogged about several times - it is clever and different.

She scours flea markets and antique shops for vintage tins and toys which she turns both earrings and pendants. The parts she cuts out are carefully chosen for their patterns. She uses precious metal wire to make cute little hanger ear wires for them.

This dollhouse or toy wardrobe becomes an awesome display! What a brilliantly original artisan!

  5. How cute and fun! I really like how she uses the patterns in the tins to design the dresses. And the wardrobe display was such a fitting way to show them off.
