Many of you are such creative souls, you probably enjoy sewing as well. So here are some ideas to do cross-over jewelry!  Also note that these jewelry designs are suitable for those who are metal allergic.

First up is Naima's wonderful bead and sequin embellished fabric necklace tutorial. She called it a bellydance necklace as she is an enthusiast but really, it can be worn by anyone. The tutorial is divided into Part 1 , Part 2 and Part 3.

Bib necklaces make a big visual impact so if you are game to wear one, use lace!  Simplicity has a  free Lace Bib Necklace tutorial (Update : link is no longer available). It's quick and easy! There are even more tutorials in past posts if you check the links below.

Want to flaunt your artistic talents?  Then check out the Art on Your Wrist fabric cuff tutorial over at Create Mixed Media. It is a free project by Ruth Rae from the book, Layered, Tattered and Stitched: A Fabric Art Workshop

  4. For the past few years there's been a nice trend towards fibers and fabrics in jewelry. Sort of a cross over of sewing arts into jewelry making arts. Love it.
