Faux Patina Earrings Tutorial

By on Saturday, July 20, 2013 3 Comments

The greenish patina color which develops on copper can be lovely. But if you don't have anything to patinate jewelry piece with or perhaps you are leery of using liver of sulfur, there is a solution. Just fake it!

Reader Heather O'Cain of Blu Kat Design wrote an easy faux patina filigree earrings tutorial. It is based on paint.  If you are handy with rag and dabbing, you can so do this!

It doesn't matter what metal you start with. Nor are you restricted to the green patina color combination!  I am thinking of a silver and gold mix.
