How to Use Silk Wrapping Technique on a Wrapped Leather Bracelet

By on Saturday, August 23, 2014 1 Comments

Wrapped leather bracelets are ever popular and fun to make. But wrapping the ends of the cord neatly at the start wrapping the beads can be a tad challenging.  So Kate Richbourg of We Can Make That at Home used the ancient silk wrapping technique of hiding the knot under the wrapped threads for her ball chain and leather bracelet tutorial. No glue is needed for this secure fastening.

I quite agree with her that making and wearing a stack of these bracelets is fun!

I've covered this technique before for a Bead Shop giveaway from some time ago.  Here is the Janice Parsons video tutorial again so you can see the silk wrapping method being taught by a different instructor.

You're AWESOME! Thanks for the comment and feedback. You do make a difference on my blog!

  1. That is a clever way to make a knot and it reduces the usage of glue too
