Jillian is a very busy graduate student but we're always pleased when she can make it to our workshop. She likes to make layered earrings but not in the way you think.

She took vintage brass and copper charms and attached them with jump rings cleverly grouping them such that the flat metal charms layer in a staggered fashion. The gemstones - round amazonite and carnelian cubes- at the top of the earrings add some color to these charming earrings. She had hung them on the string on the wall of the Rose and Kettle Tearoom at the Cole Harbor Heritage Farm Museum (Greater Halifax, Canada) where we have our workshops. They look so good there I took the picture just as she left them!

Check this past post to see our workshop site at the Farm Museum.
