Swingin' Earrings
Part 2 of 3
I like to quote this saying every chance I get - " To teach is to learn twice"- Joseph Joubert, French author (1755-1824). We often experience that at beading workshops and parties as rank beginners astound us with different ideas and approaches.
As they are new to the craft, they are also unaware of limits. This can be an asset when it comes to creating. It's like watching a young child easily solve a Rubik's cube. Their minds are unfettered with the what ifs and the uncertainties. They just do it.
So I have published another hub page, Earring Design Ideas which features some of the hundreds of beginner designs I have written about over the years as well as some of my own. Although there is beginner section on how to make basic earrings, the rest of the hub is organized so that these designs inspire others to move beyond simple dangles. Suggested tutorial posts are also grouped accordingly.
I hope you'll find it useful.

Pearl I am beginning to think you don't really go to work every day. How on earth do you have time to do all this stuff and to become so proficient on the web!? Very nice!
ReplyDeleteWell, I learn quickly and write pretty fast. But a lot of things just take time - a little every day/week/month. This new hub was conceived over a year ago.
ReplyDeleteThis is truly wonderful ! Sometimes we get into ruts, doing the same things over and over, it's almost as if our muse has fallen asleep. By viewing other's designs it is like a catalyst that starts a chain reaction and awakens that sleeping muse within us.
ReplyDeleteI love your work! Fantasy and elegance!
ReplyDeleteThanks although some of the designs on this hub are those of my students.
