Making paper beads and paper jewelry has been a popular craft for decades. A lot of people make paper beads the traditional way - short cigar shapes. But it doesn't have to be that way. One of my favorite crafters is the highly creative Mark Montano. His paper and bling jewelry video tutorial looks so good!
It's easy to see why he called it the Colorful Bohemian Jewelry. The earrings are that much more fun as the rhinestones don't match! It's also a great project for leftover, mismatched rhinestones.
If you'd like to make it water resistant, try spraying a suitable sealant before the rhinestones are added.
