Wire wrapping a bezel for a cabochon is not that hard but will be challenging for a beginner. So here's why I thought Gloria's tutorial over on Domestic Diva Online was a clever solution. She shows how to wire wrap a beaded bezel by a) using a drilled bead rather than a cabochon b) forming a frame which becomes the foundation for wrapping a simply beaded wire around.
The final effect looks like a beaded bezel at first glance. Choosing the right bead colors also helps coordinate the look of an expensive diamond pendant!!
Gloria also has another tutorial which I featured before where she used twin beads in the wire frame.
