I can see why polymer clay artists love the medium. You can have a lot of fun creating different colors and textures. Nadia Elkina shared an awesome video tutorial on how to make reticulated polymer clay earrings. She is able to form little ridges because she uses polymer clay which has been softened with a lot of liquid gel. Clever!
The tutorial is in Russian. But there are English subtitles so following along won't be a problem.
One lovely detail is how she wired some beads as both an accent and as a functional element to connect the polymer pieces to the metal balls.
She also had some great examples of how to apply the technique for bracelets and even a crumpled looking vase!
