Luciana Lavin is a Mexican born jewelry designer. She explained, "I started creating jewelry since 2004 in my hometown Mazatlan. In 2010 I moved to Mexico City where I studied a degree in jewelry design in CADJ (center for art and jewelry design)." She is now based in Georgia, USA.
This designer has a real talent for color and pattern, both of which come together for great visual impact. Although she makes different types of jewelry, her statement beaded bibs and collar necklaces are particularly stunning.
"For my pieces I initially was inspired by the work of Mexican and Native North Americans. However, my style has evolved, now I use traditional techniques, but always with a contemporary touch that have been found by combining colors and new patterns that I created."
Luciana is also a keen photographer. Check out her Instagram for more designs.
