So much is now "in the cloud" - music, pictures and so one. So there are tons of unwanted CDs lying around. Recycle them into a mosaic pendant tutorial! You will need some sort of bezel to hold the pieces and the resin.
The tutorial is from Stampington and Company. The design takes advantage of the color play on the surface of typical CDs.
Resin is used to set the design once the pieces are placed within the bezel. You can use Ice Resins or Little Windows' Brilliant Resin both of which are suited to jewelry making.

I tried using resin on CD once before but the coating blocked the light reflection making the CDS appear a dull gray
ReplyDeleteWas the CD coating iridescent in the first place?
