Gloria Uhler of Domestic Diva Online shared this awesome polymer clay  necklace tutorial where the translucent clay is colored with alcohol inks! What I really like about this design is the use of 3 different sizes marquise shapes - both open and solid versions. And how she linked them into a stunning asymmetrical design.

Gloria uses her Silhouette cutter to cut out the shapes. She also has the SVG file format if you have other cutting machines like the Cricut.

But you do not need the cutters as she also provides a PDF so you can use the templates to cut with a craft knife.  If you have a nesting set of oval cutters, then you can certainly hasten the cutting part! The oval shape is not as pleasing as the marquise, I must say!

You can purchase alcohol inks or you could try making them yourself using marker pens.
