I first came across Gwen Fisher's work because of her mathematical approach to design. Her talent for colors, symmetry and pattern is obvious as you can see from GwenBeads. Gwen explains, "I use mathematics, including geometry, symmetry, topology, and algorithms as inspiration for the structure of my creations."
Gwen asked that I only feature two of her designs. This made the selection very tough as she has many outstanding designs in her shop.
The first design shown above is the Kali pendant (and little bird earrings) tutorial. It is an original variation of the "beaded Cellini spiral, combining peyote and herringbone stitches." A most unusual design, one which definitely stands out.
The second tutorial design is her Victory Pod earrings - the 3D shape is unusual and the color scheme used here is scrumptious!
Go on. Explore her shop!

I don't do this kind of work but her designs are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI think the designers that you find are so lucky to have you find them and share their designs with your over 10 thousand subscribers - and for free! It makes me think I really need to get my website up and running before too long!
Way to go Gwen!
