German designer, Susanne Gigas, has an unusual beadwork style. Her structural beaded jewelry tutorials in her store, PerlDesign, really caught my eye.
Some of her designs remind me of architectural elements. Others are clearly geometrically inspired. Some have a captivating fluidity about them - like her loopy designs.
She uses different beading stitches. Some of her tutorials are rated for beginners but there are some which are more challenging like the cRAW (cubic right angle weaves) so be sure to read her descriptions.
Her ability to envision undulating designs is evident in a couple of her beaded bracelets pieces. The last two pictures below are different views of the same amazing design!
Shown here are some her English language tutorials. If you can read German, by all means check out her German language tutorials!

WOW! WOW! WOW!
ReplyDeleteSince I don't do this type of beading I thought I would just skim the email and not do a deep dive into your post but - I'm SO GLAD I did!
Susanne's work is simply AWESOME!!
If I did do this kind of work I would definitely want to grow up to bead like Susanne does!
Her designs are stunning. I know I would wear so many of them and I always thought little beadwork would not be something for me.
Never say never!
Susanne's work is phenomenal - original, elegant and substantial. Thanks for the introduction Pearl.
