You can tell I really like Bobi Jo Gilman of TimelessTempest's work. I have featured this Ohio artisan and great instructor twice before - here and here. It was her copper wire work wire tree of life design which first caught my eye, then her rings!
I especially love her wire wrap options for heart shaped cabochons. Perfect for Valentine's Day!
Her designs range from simple to advanced, so there is something for everyone. You can use either silver or copper wire but as you can see from her examples, oxidation makes her designs really pop!

I love that someone can take a piece of wire and a gemstone and end up with such incredible beauty.
ReplyDeleteBobi's designs showcase not just the gemstone but also the beauty of the wire. They compliment each other as if they had grown together naturally.

Her pieces are beautiful! I have always wanted to learn wirework and although I have tried learning in the past, I picked tutorials that were way above beginner. I got discouraged but in reading the feedback about her tutorials, I can definitely follow her directions. I would love to win a tutorial so she could give me the instructions in a way that I can add this to my jewelry experience. Thank you, Pearl, for giving the jewelry artists an opportunity to expand our knowledge.
