I wrote about British ceramic artist Lindsay of LindsayDrakeBeads before. Her nature inspired ceramic charms are beautiful for designers who want that unique handmade look.
Of special note are her image bearing ceramic charms and connectors. These take time and skill to make. Lindsay explains, "Each piece is initially fired to 1150 degrees centigrade, then 2 coats of transparent and bronze glaze applied and the piece is fired once more. The piece undergoes a final firing to fuse the decal. The image is hard wearing and will not come off."
I had a hard time choosing my favorites as she has a marvellously large collection. The winner of this $35 giveaway from Lindsay will also have a hard time choosing!

Simply said, they are all beautiful! I would love to design a piece or pieces using any or all of her designs! Lol. Just kidding, I don’t want to be selfish, I loved all of them!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who has tried to make ceramic, kiln fired jewelry myself, I can attest to the skill required to produce a successful piece. An identical pair (earrings) is even harder! So I truly admire Lindsay's "labours of love" and would be ecstatic to win the chance to acquire some of her work!
