I am not surprised with the enthusiastic response to last week's giveaway.  Wire tutorials are always popular but the extra special work of Erika Pal of WireArtTutorials was the big draw.

Reactions ranged from Barbara's excited : "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. Lovelovelove Erika's work!!!"to Greta's "OMG!!! This woman is so talented! I went to her site and I don't know how I would choose one if I were to win. They are amazing! I have wanted to try wire wrapping for quite awhile so maybe I'll get a chance."
Some of you want to get started or improve in wire wrapping.  Ybliku2 had already spotted wire wrapping's potential when she said, "Wire work is exactly what I need to round out my jewelry making. It seems like it’s a big seller here in Southern Illinois, too. I would love to win the tutorial or anything that will get me started for the next phase of jewelry making."

Comments, while necessary for giveaway entries also perform several useful functions.  Readers who have Erika's tutorials confirm for others how good they are and clearly wish to win another! Barb said, "Her tutorials are easy to follow because she provides lots of pictures and easy to follow instructions. She will even help you if you have a question." Good to know, Barb! Her work is exquisite.

Comments  also give designers valuable feedback. Some of you specifically mentioned the seahorse, owl, dragon and elephant. Elfinbears added, "That dragon pendant is gorgeous! The art of wire wrapping would be a great addition to my bears for embellishments."

The whole point of these giveaways is to introduce artisans to the wider international community or even in the same country!  Ana Cravidao said : "As a Portuguese,I had no idea I had this amazing artist living in my country. I would love to win a beginner's kit and maybe meet her and see her creations in real life."

So who won? I numbered all the eligible entries and got random.org's random number generator to do the picking. The lucky winner is María Jesús. Congratulations!
