Washi is traditional Japanese paper. Today, we also have washi tape - a wonderful material which is positional. Very forgiving for crafters in addition to being gorgeous.
It's versatile and can be used for jewelry making. I used it with metal bangle blanks in this past tutorial.
Fran Valera of Little Windows demonstrates even more uses of washi tape in her wonderful video on how to make washi and resin tape jewelry.
I've always found her resin jewelry tips and tricks excellent for sparking my own ideas. I do love how she introduces metallic elements in her designs.
You can get a discount of 15% off by using this code BG1516 for any supplies in her shop. Brilliant Resin is an excellent and safe resin for both casting and doming jewelry pieces.
There are many sources of washi tape with designs to cater for every taste! See here and here for examples.
