Carol uses artisan created components - lampwork beads, enamel and polymer clay charms, beadwoven parts - all put together in her own bold style. The way she builds on each design is a study in details. One of my favorite design is her blue sugar skull earrings complete with fuzzy yarn hair!
Carol designs mainly earrings but she also has necklace and bracelet collections.
She explains :
My "therapy" is playing with beads. Since childhood, I have always been fascinated with shapes and colors and is has been a natural and lifelong progression to become a jewelry designer. People tease me because I am "not afraid of color"!
I LOVE being in my studio and playing with beads. My designs have been called everything, from whimsical to elegant. Living in Traverse City, MI, allows me to enjoy both the natural beauty of our environment as well as involvement in an active art community.

Carol and I must be sisters separated at birth- I love her colors!! I did laugh out loud at the purple fan earrings with the birds on the lower half, it appears the birds are admiring each other's backsides!
ReplyDeleteCarol's earrings are nothing but fun! She must spend an inordinate amount of time finding such great components. What fun!
