Gingerbread House Leather Box |
There are many beautiful leather accessory tutorials out there but the work of Toronto-based Rebecca Yee of PaintyeeDesigns stands out for awesome originality.
She offers instructions on how to make small accessories such as key chains to coin purses and to bags and backpacks. Each design has just the right leather colors to fit the theme and designs....and there are many.
Her gingerbread house box is stunning as a Christmas decor. I also love her entire range of Halloween themed designs like the jack o'lantern and witch's cauldron bag and the witch mask.
There are also rather sweet designs like her small ornaments as well as the cactus and strawberry ones which she has in two sizes - for keychains and as a box or bag.
Cosplayers will delight in her amazing masks and headpieces. Her imagination and skill knows no bounds!

how creepy! how creative! never seen anything like these patterns; thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHaving sold leather jackets/coats and worked on them as well hemming and repairing in my families coat store, I know how much work these require to design/make and then create a tutorial as well! Incredible! Such gorgeous designs as well. I can smell the leather from here! It's an unforgettable aroma when your entire room is filled with it....
ReplyDeleteWonderful designs. Can you use a regular sewing machine and ordinary needles?
ReplyDeleteI would definitely get leather needles, and I think I'd be nervous to work my garden variety old Singer that hard!
DeleteI second Tracy's comments. Regular needles will not be strong enough. Some of the older sewing machines might be sturdy enough but I wouldn't risk it!
