British micro crochet jewelry designer, Steffi Glaves,  sure is inspirational. I wrote about her wonderful work and tutorials here.  She definitely inspired New Zealander, Jemima of CupofCoffeeCrochetNZ

As her shop name suggests, she crochets in her spare time. She is crafting her way through architecture school! Shown here are her tiny little works in all their colorful splendor. My favorites are her sunflowers and miniature granny square earrings.

Jemima has managed to find the time to start her Youtube channel. This is where I came across her because she shared in a thorough tutorial exactly how to make super tiny granny square earrings.  She includes her tips and tricks and materials - especially what kind of thread to use. The written pattern is in the video description.

It is a long tutorial because she is careful about showing exactly how to crochet something so small. Tight tension is necessary but at the same time, you shouldn't be cutting off circulation in your fingers!

Thanks to Jemima's video, I might try this myself. Hats off to doing such a clear video. It is not easy to show the detail while filming and working at the same time.

You can see more of her work on her Instagram
