Supporting Ukrainian Artisans
When I first came across beaded scarves, I thought they might be too large. How wrong I was! When beaded smaller, they become wonderful bib necklaces which will compliment all kinds of outfits.

One artisan who is a whiz at making this style is Ukrainian bead artist, Alena (Alonya) Lipinska, of ALiAHandMadeShop.

Alena's wonderful way with patterns, fringes and color combinations makes her necklaces highly desirable. I also like her professional finishes for the back.

She does offer one tutorial for a basic netted necklace (see design at the end below).

She has one basic tutorial for a netted scarf if you'd like to learn how to make one.  I just love the stunning look with the right bead color choices.
