Missouri based Chris Kapono of MandarinMoon is a born artist, or nearly so as she explained :
I been an artsy craftsy person since I could hold a crayon steady in my hand (and not eat it LOL!)
Her artistic endeavors drifted over to polymer clay as soon as she discovered the medium back in 2008. She now offers many creative ideas with polymer clay. Her tutorials are some of the most beautiful and efficiently packaged I have seen. Some comprise of tiny tiles showing all the different textures and colors you can create. Chris also offers bundles.
You can use her texture and color techniques not just for jewelry but things like journal covers, fridge magnets - perhaps even pieced together on boxes.
While polymer clay is her main medium of choice, Chris is also adapt at other crafty tutorials. Her alcohol ink painting techniques are simply gorgeous for handmade cards. She also shows how to paint glass cabochons and eggs.
Chris certainly has a wonderful eye for color and design!

ReplyDeleteEverything from the colour to the design is in your own hands. That's what I like about it.
The no rules and no boundaries means my imagination can take me where it wants.
It's always fun to take a tutorial to kick- start your muse.
