Fortunately for beaders, Patricia hasn't been idle. She has since published two more volumes on 3D flower tutorials. Two very fortunate readers will be able to win a physical book each of their choice for this equally rare giveaway.
In the Blooming Glen : Volume 2 (100 pages)
The second volume contains 10 tutorials ranging from small flowers to show stoppers like the daffodil. The flowers, many of which include the instructions for stems, were designed so beaders can put together elements of their own choosing to create unique bouquets, decor, floral jewelry, brooches and so on.
Patricia used detailed diagrams for each of her designs. Shown here are a few examples of the book's format. Some of the more complex designs run on for several pages.
Through the Blossoming Meadow : Volume 3 (108 Pages)
Volume 3 includes many designs for more showy flowers like the dahlia and treasure flower but the designer also includes the smaller elements like small flowers, leaf and thistle to use when building complex designs.
See what I mean about constructing larger combinations? The individual designs lead on to spectacular arrangements! Both her books are highly recommended for beaders who adore flowers and are up for creating unique collections of their own.
Patricia has many individual tutorials, kits as well as her books in her store, RoseBluBeads.
If you would like the chance to win one of two books, please comment AND state which book you would like if you won.
Extra entries if you become or are a blog subscriber or follower etc. If you also do shout outs about this giveaway, those will count as additional entries too! Please say so in the comments.
It ends in a week's time at 6 pm EST Monday, Tuesday March 18 at 6 pm EST. I will pick the winner randomly and announce the results as soon as possible after. So be sure to leave a contact email if you don't have an online link or make sure you come back and check! Otherwise I will redraw in a week. Good luck!

I have the first book and it’s amazing! I would love book 3 because of the thistle pattern (I’m Scottish) and all the lovely variations on daisy-style flowers

ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see a beading book on flowers. I've wanted to add flowers to my my beadwork and would go beautifully with my beaded butterfly plant stakes. I would love Volume 3, Through the Blossoming Meadow, however would be happy with any of Patricia Parker's books. Blessings to all beaders. edanddarla@frontiernet.net
ReplyDeleteI would really like volume 2 The Blooming Glen the flowers are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI would be beside myself to win the 2nd volume, In the Blooming Glen. I can feel the happiness of Spring after this incredibly long winter. The Forsythia, Lily of the Valley, Crocus and Daffodils bring such joy every year but will be even more welcome this year. A bouquet of these beaded beauties would look fabulous as a centrepiece, wouldn't they? Fingers crossed and thanks for the chance to win this fabulous book!
ReplyDeleteI don't see my comment (but also it was sent as anonymous so maybe that's why). I'll try to send it again. Sorry!

ReplyDeleteWould love volume 3 cindyashley17@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous flowers Ms. Parker has created from beads! It's a difficult choice between the volumes, but I'd choose #3 because of my Scottish/Dutch heritage (the Thistle and Daffodil), and the other very realistic flowers and accents are so beautiful. The diagrams are very clear and appear easy to follow, and invite you to create them! Thank you for your Beading Gem newsletters, Pearl! I look forward to seeing who you are featuring next.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Cathy
