Making your own molds using silicone means you can really make truly unique jewelry. Sveta, the UK based crafter behind @FreshIdea8019 takes it up a notch. Her tutorial demonstrates how you can make small leaf silicone molds using real leaves! Many of us have small potted plants in the house so you do not have to wait for summer to access leaves from the garden,

She is using clear silicone - this is a two part product which you will have to mix together to activate. I like how she uses polymer clay for the support. You'll also have to find a very small plastic container to make the mold. Too large and you will be wasting silicone.

Notice how she applies a little silicone on the leaf first before pouring the bulk of the silicone mix. This is to reduce bubbles on the leaf surface.

She also applies a finishing layer of resin to dome the resin charms.
