UK based Lucy Rowlands makes one of the most unusual jewelry I have ever seen and I've written about quite a few! Her jewelry pieces are combination adornment and oral devices to examine and explore mouths. Why does she focus on mouths? She explains on her website that "the mouth is central to human interaction. Not only is it the core passage in and out of the body, it is also a highly fetishised and sensual feature."
There are two types of rings. The oral distortion rings above allows you to see your mouth in new ways. The oral examination device rings below have what resembles dental mirrors attached so you can investigate the interior of your mouths much as dentists do. Definitely the kind of jewelry you need if you have a phobia for stuck food in your teeth!
