How to Make a Layered Paper Map Ring

By on Friday, March 16, 2012 1 Comments

There are a number of ways to make paper jewelry. Rolling and folding paper are a couple of the most common techniques. Some artisans also use paper pulp to build up forms. Decoupage is another alternative method as is quilling.

Here is another way. The paper ring by ChrysN on Instructables is constructed by layering a strip of a colorful map. As with all paper jewelry, sealing afterwards is good idea.

Maps are really cool for jewelry making. I'm not alone in thinking that! But you could also use other papers.

This project will definitely suit the younger set on a dull and dreary day or on a long school vacation like Spring Break!

You're AWESOME! Thanks for the comment and feedback. You do make a difference on my blog!

  1. Mr. Sequin and I have a friend who used to be a librarian, and she handled a lot of maps. She gave us a bunch of old ones, and Mr. Sequin is making her some earrings for her birthday.

I'd love to try using resin to make map jewelry. :)
