NASA's SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) is actually a scientific research institute which looks for life beyond Earth. So far, scientists have not yet discovered any evidence although they do keep looking using different techniques. If they do, rest assured, it will not be buried news as the conspiracy theorists believe. 

Meanwhile, for the rest of us, we just enjoy alien movies, books and even jewelry!  I have selected some fun designs covering a range of jewelry making techniques and materials. Some of these are DIY tutorials to make your own UFO and alien designs. 

There are also games where you are an alien in a spaceship on a mission to abduct cows etc!

Those of you who love to crochet should check out the amigurumi alien pattern by Lyndsey of LarzipanCreations. It can be made in different sizes depending on your tension and what size hook and yarn type you use. She said that with medium weight worsted and a 3 mm hook, she could make a 2 inch high one. Anyone up for the challenge of using crochet cotton and even smaller hooks to create small earrings?  Or maybe this could be your next cat toy project?


Why Do People Believe Ancient Civilization Was Founded by Aliens?

HistoryHit is one of my favorite Youtube channels. Recently, James Carson took a look at various wonders of the ancient world and at how this popular conspiracy theory evolved, thoroughly debunking it in the process. (He also sports a variety of fun t-shirts - the "If the Earth was flat...." one is my favorite!)

Just because ancient people did not have modern tools doesn't mean they were not capable of building enormous monuments. They had alternative methods, a great deal of human power and a lot of time - sometimes hundreds of years. Humans are an incredibly creative species.
