Polymer clay jewelry is such a creative medium as you can make really unique designs using a variety of additions and tools. Shown here are three wonderful tutorials from Australian polymer clay artist and instructor, Samantha @JessamaTutorials. The tutorials create different effects but a common design tool are wonderful stencils.

This tutorial for a stunning  aurora borealis effect (see top picture) shows different techniques to get there. I love them both but that shimmery effect with mica powder has the slight edge!

I also like her butterfly wing effect which uses alcohol inks and metal leaf.

Her torn watercolour earrings tutorial is also neat. This is where she deliberately tears up small pieces of her prepared clay and reassembles them into a sheet for a cool effect.

Samantha also sells fantastic cutters, stencils and other tools for polymer clay designers over on JessamaDesign.

She has a ton of different cutters in sets such as this big collection.
