The Zip it necklaces are handmade from real zippers and created in antique silver and antique gold tones. Their inspiration? People who talk too much!
They also offer Zip-it ball 'n' chain earrings to go with the necklace which are made from real zipper pulls in the same two metallic finishes. These are provided with surgical steel backs.

If you are keen to try your own zipper jewelry, check out my past post on the zipper flower tutorial.

I didn't care for the the past zipper jewelry much, although I am always astounded by the creativity. But these are cute!
ReplyDeletei have seen lots of the zipper jewelry, but it all looked so ... bright and kiddish to me...love these more sophisticated looks
ReplyDeleteGreat article about using zippers! I wanted to share this designer with you because my jaw dropped open and I still can't figure out how it is done! A purse made entirely of a zipper that unzips down to just being a zipper, but zips back up into a bag??? check it out...http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22073510
ReplyDeleteHi there! Lisa C again! I just realized the designer, Five2nine, also has a Youtube video so you can see how it unzips and zips back up, it is too much!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhhQkzhMQLA
ReplyDeleteThe zipper bag is amazing! Thanks for sharing Lisa.
ReplyDeleteWhile the zipper bag is amazing, I like the zipper jewelry better. What do you do with the zipper bag when it is unzipped?
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of purple zipper earrings from 1977 that my daughter still wears today. Fun to see them back in style!
