Image Inspirations
Part 2 of 2
I've done some image transfer work before by printing photos onto shrinky dink - see my past post on how to make photo jewelry.

But it's not the only image transfer technique. Fellow Canuck (Canadian) Carmi Cimicata who writes the Carmi's Art Life World blog, is a whiz at transferring images.

Shell
Shown above is the beautiful shell pendant she made. In her tutorial she mentioned she used Lazertran transfer paper. The full transfer instructions are actually on that company website. Lazertran Waterslide decal paper for inkjet sounds wonderful because the inks become waterproof after 30 minutes.

Fabric
You can also transfer images to fabric. Just check out Carmi's tutorial post on how to she made a fabric and felt necklace.  She used EQ Printables which is inkjet fabric.

Metal
Sherri Haab's free beginner project on Art Jewelry shows how to transfer photocopy images to metal.  The metal has to be prepared for accepting the images. A special image transfer solution is used.

Polymer clay
Cindy Lietz, a Canadian instructor who often comments on this blog, has a thorough hub page on how to transfer images to polymer clay.
