For those of us who cannot make lamp work beads, there is one other alternative - make your own beaded beads from humble seed beads. Beading Daily's latest free eBook (link no longer available) has five fabulous projects. This book is really worth the download.
Making beaded beads does save time if you're not up to making an elaborate beaded necklace. These tutorials will also teach some of the types of bead stitches. I particularly like the projects which allows the embellishment of a simple neck wire as they suit my personal aesthetic taste. But really the sky's the limit once you master beaded beads!
