Paracord bracelets are one of the most popular designs for men - or for women who aren't into bling.
I've featured some tutorials before. Many use release buckles but Fusion Outrage/HobbitAssasin08 has this self toggle paracord bracelet video tutorial.
It's called the river bar weave using 2 colors. The paracord is so thick, it makes the project go very fast! It also easily forms the bobble at one end like a button clasp. The other observation is how well he manages to seal the ends of with a Bic lighter without burning the rest of the work!
Another variation is the cobra weave video tutorial. He was very inventive using what he had in the house to help him hold the work in progress!

Nice tutorials on making paracord bracelets. I particularly like the Cobra Weave and could see that as being very popular with the guys. Too often we jewelry makers tend to forget about the guys or at best we offer something lame like beaded key chains.
ReplyDeleteHey...great tutorials on this kind of bracelets...I've always meant to try this, as you say for those who don't like bling or even for guys...I often have guys asking for something, but I haven't taken the time to come up with something guy specific!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Cheers
I watched both tutorials from start to finish. Very cool - but why are they called survival bracelets?
ReplyDeleteThey are called survival bracelets because the paracord can be unraveled and used in an emergency.
