One outstanding tutorial is Fancy Pants Weddings' how to design a brooch bouquet. It's relatively easy to wire all sorts of brooches together. The project needs a lot of brooches so it's a good "something old" idea to raid grandma's collection!
Not enough brooches? The designer also suggests combining silk flowers and brooches as shown below.
There are many ways to create bridal necklaces but they almost always involve white, silver, creams and often pearls. Multi-strand necklace designs are the most striking for brides. The Beachy Elegance necklace tutorial by Laura BlackFeather on Fire Mountain Gems is a wonderful example. For more, check my past post, Multi-Stranded Necklaces Anyone? There is a gorgeous bridal one featured in that post.
The DIY Bridesmaid necklace and earring set will certainly make sure your wire work skills are put into good practice!
Disney over at the Ruffles and Stuff blog created this gorgeous rose cuff tutorial as a Mother's Daygift idea. But it is so pretty, especially when teamed with pearl bracelets that it will be a hit for bridesmaids and flower girls, too.
Many street parties are planned in the UK to celebrate the Royal Wedding. There is also a delightful new book out by Fiona Goble, Knit Your Own Royal Wedding which has tutorials on how to make lookalike members of the Royal Family in double knit! Check out who's who from the balcony scene! Isn't that corgi adorable? Via

I'm really looking forward to seeing the future Princess Kate in her wedding finery, she will be a stunningly beautiful bride.
ReplyDeleteThe Brooches Bouquets are fantastic I adore the nostalgic Victorian look of them, just gorgeous. Bet Kate would love to carry one down the isle if she didn't have to observe the Royal Wedding Traditions.
Oh my, bridal jewelry already! It is hard to believe that April is winding to a close and after May comes June...the Bridal Month. Not a whole lot of time left to fashion bridal jewelry and accessories.
