Shrink plastic has really become enormously popular again in the last couple of years.  Crafters and jewelry designers appreciate its versatility. Their imagination knows no bounds when creating really fun shrink plastic jewelry tutorials.

Francesca of the Tea Hab DIY blog has 2 clever shrink plastic ring tutorials which show great originality.  The first one shown above, is her tutorial for a set of totem pole rings shown above.  Her quick shrink plastic ring below is actually a nail ring. It sits near your nail rather than near your knuckle.

Lana of Lana Red Studio has a layered shrink plastic tutorial which is really just 3 rings worn together.  Neat idea to feature different kinds of abode.  My favorite is the windmill!

Lana also shared how she made monogram and name pendants from shrink plastic.

Maybe polka dots are also becoming fashionable again especially after the Duchess of Cambridge was seen leaving the hospital in a polka dot dress after the birth of Prince George.  Check out the shrink plastic polka dot necklace tutorial by Kim Layton over at Everything Etsy.  There is a handy free printable for the project.

There is also an adorable shrink plastic book out by Kathy Sheldon and friends.  It's called Shrink! Shrank! Shrunk!: Make Stylish Shrink Plastic Jewelry  and features 35 projects.

Lark Craft also released 5 free projects from the book :

Not Your Grandmother’s Cameos designed by Tamara Berg :

Go on!  Have fun with shrink plastic.
