Illinois based Jennifer Putzier is a long time Etsy seller and a successful one at that. One of her 3 stores is Beadeux which offers laser cut pendants designed specifically for making cross stitch jewelry.
Jennifer is adept with 2-D software so she is able to create her unique jewelry supply line. The pendants are laser cut from a variety of materials including salvaged wood, bamboo and acrylic.
Some wonderful shapes from her store include whimsical bow tie pendants although she also offers the more conventional rectangles, rounds and tear drops.
You can also do beaded cross stitch with these! Instead of doing the typical cross with the floss, use say Fireline and do just one diagonal stitch with a bead included. These designs will be beadafabulous!
One new category in her store are her floss organizers. I really think these are also perfect as pendants in their own right. Jennifer also offers complete project kits. My favorite is her rain cloud one!

what a cool giveaway and shop! I love making jewelry and doing cross stitch - it would be so awesome to win! I am a blog subscriber and follow on FB and twitter as well..
ReplyDeleteAs a beader/jewellery maker and embroiderer I'd of cause love a chance to win this!
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, I find that foundations (be it aida or laser cut wood) for cross stitch also work for many other stitches so if one doesn't like cross stitch or beadpoint, there's still a lot you can do with them. Not even mentioning they can be used as sieve components, wiring beads, charms etc to them.
I'm a blog follower and I've pinned the giveaway: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/109634572153668390/

OK Pearl,
ReplyDeleteYou've just added another one of my secret passions to your blog. If you haven't guessed by now, I thrive on any craft that lets me use my fine motor skills. I started with a 3' x 5' hand painted needlepoint canvas that took me 5 years to complete. The shading was so delicate that I could only work on it in daylight (no Ott ligths that long ago), then graduated to cross stitch, then quilting, then beadwork. These are amazing. Why is that everyone comes up with these ideas and then I think - Why didn't I think of that.

How brilliant are these??! I've been wanting to experiment with embroidered ceramics for a while, but I think these would be a great place to start!
