Kristen Nunez of Studs and Pearls came up with a barb wire inspired bangle tutorial that I thought was fun and quirky. It goes to show that anything can be an inspiration. But there were other reasons why I liked it.
It is an easy and forgiving wire work tutorial even for beginners. It also takes advantage of thick and soft tempered colorful craft wire that's now available. Make and wear several!
The wire ends of the wrapped parts were filed and covered with, of all things, fabric glue. This is so the ends don't scratch the wearer. An alternative method is to tuck in the ends properly.
